Two-Faced Gavin Newsom

Let’s not mince words: Gavin Newsom was born with a silver spoon up his butt. The left proudly claims to despise the one percent, and white people, and men, and heterosexuality — but he is all of those things. Newsom has never wanted for anything. He has never known deprivation. He has never gone hungry. He has never had to choose between paying the electricity bill and clothing his children. Yet there he is, front and center, shoulder to shoulder with the rank-and-file left on their maniacal crusade to save America from itself. He wants you to think he's one of us.

Gavin Newsom doesn’t care about the poor. None of his ilk do. His is a performative progressivism. He says all the right things, but his upbringing, lifestyle, and behavior are completely at odds with his hot air. During the worst of the COVID pandemic, he insisted Californians stay home and avoid public gatherings — but there he was in 2020 at the French Laundry, no mask, having fun with his well-moneyed lobbyist friends.

He doesn’t send his children to public school, and I can’t say that I blame him. He portrays himself as a champion of public education, but he knows as well as you and I that public education is a dangerous failure. He only cares about education insofar as it concerns his children or the children of his peers. If you aren’t part of his social strata, your children are of no concern. Gavin Newsom doesn’t care about your children; he doesn’t care about education.

You see, there are rules for us but not for him. If Newsom were a man of integrity and principle, he would live by the same rules as the rest of us. He would have stayed home during the pandemic, and he would send his children to the public schools he purports to support. That’s how you can tell when someone has integrity — they put their money where their mouth is. Newsom has no principles, no convictions, no spine, and no strength of character. He is an opportunist of the highest order — or the lowest, depending on how you grade such things.

These aren’t unique traits to the governor of California. He exemplifies the whole of the left: demanding of others but unwilling to sacrifice himself, principled only to the extent that someone else has to do the work. He is the left. They are everything they claim to despise and, like the narcissists they truly are, they are all — from the top down — incapable of self-reflection.
