Anthony Fauci: A Pattern of Deadly Decisions

We at Uncle Sam’s Inkwell can’t say for certain if Anthony Fauci tortured animals as a child. Nor can we say he was a bed wetter who enjoyed starting fires and had a deviant sexual fixation on his mother. But we can certainly talk about his role in the AIDS epidemic, when he, in his position as a leading researcher at the NIH, dragged his feet long enough for thousands of people to die. Bureaucracies are notoriously sluggish, but Fauci’s NIH turned the art of a red tape death sentence into a science.
Under Fauci’s leadership, AIDS patients were excluded from the conversation about clinical trial design and drug regulation; they were an afterthought at most. And the earliest drug available was AZT, an antiretroviral, which caused a whole host of extremely unpleasant side effects, like the classics—diarrhea, vomiting, headaches, insomnia, myopathy—as well as some real humdingers: bone marrow suppression, liver damage, and DNA damage. The people who suffered were more or less glorified lab rats.
(And let’s not forget those beagles, but that’s another story)
Fast forward a few decades and Fauci was up to his old tricks during the COVID pandemic. First he said that masks weren’t necessary, then he said they were. He would later admit that the six-foot rule wasn’t based on science; it just seemed like a good idea at the time. Every step of the way he was behind the virus and always playing catch-up with the science. His approach to the pandemic was more or less throwing shit at a wall and waiting to see what would stick.
We here at USI understand that in the early days of AIDS and COVID there were numerous unknowns and a scientist’s positions must change as the data flows in. We get it. But Anthony Fauci from the 80’s to the here and now has a well-documented track record of bureaucratic slowness to action and cluelessness, and the results have been completely unacceptable.
The damage done to children because of school closures, and the damage done to our economy from the lockdowns, and the loss of public trust due to entirely wrong-headed theories of COVID’s origins are unacceptable. Speaking of origins...
Prior to the pandemic, the NIH under Fauci's watch was providing funding for gain-of-function research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology. It's a smoking gun that at best symbolizes a self-inflicted wound of epic proportions, or at worst it indicates some sort of diabolical plot to unleash death upon the planet. Anthony Fauci’s insistence that the lab-leak theory was bunk is either rank incompetence or an attempt to cover his tracks. There is no middle ground, there is no third option.
One way or the other, we can’t forget this son of a bitch; his name needs to stay in circulation until someone brings him to justice, either because he’s a pathological madman who was complicit in the murder of millions, or because he’s an incompetent bureaucratic bozo who was unwittingly complicit in the murder of millions.
We here at Uncle Sam's Inkwell won’t say for certain that Anthony Fauci tortured animals as a child, but as an authority at the NIH he sure as hell has tortured some humans.
